Wait! Did you see LeBron James in a pink skirt with a matching purse? Some say it was photoshopped. Well, I beg to differ. And I’ll tell you why.
LeBron was caught on camera looking like the last fashionista, honey. He wore a pink ensemble with a fitted top, a pleated skirt, and a cute purse to go with it. All he was missing was a pair of pink pumps and bumps
At any rate, the photo spread through social media for a hot second. And some people dismissed it as photoshopped. Well, I’m not convinced LeBron’s pretty in pink attire was photoshopped. I believe that was him for real, sashaying like he was on a catwalk at New York’s fashion week.
So let’s dive into it.
Wigging Out: LeBron James Channels FloBron for TV Ad
Lebron James has worn a dress before. Well, he wore a long apron that looked like a dress for a Progressive insurance commercial. In the TV ad, he portrayed FloBron, the twin sister of the popular Progressive insurance spokesperson Flo.
How in the hell can a 6-foot black man be the twin sister of a white woman? I don’t know. Make that make sense.
Anyway.
Lebron dressed in drag, portraying a female. He didn’t go full-blown drag queen, meaning he didn’t wear makeup and a dress.
My question is this…
Why would he agree to portray a woman out of all the characters he could have portrayed in a national TV commercial?
He’s the top NBA player, the face of the league, a husband and father?
That imagery is not even on brand for who he is as a professional athlete.
Nevertheless, the fact Lebron became FloBron supports my position that he was wearing a pink skirt and toting a matching purse.
Beyond Uniforms: NBA Players Wear Dresses for a Paycheck
In the entertainment industry, male celebrities perform rituals, such as dressing like women.
Cross-dressing is a ritual these males participate in to attain and maintain riches and fame. This is why we have seen so many singers, rappers, and actors being buck broken and feminized by wearing women’s clothing.
You see, the sports world is part of the entertainment industry. You don’t get to the level of success as LeBron James without taking oaths, performing rituals, or making sacrifices. And LeBron is not the first or last NBA player to wear a dress, skirt, make-up, a wig, or a combination thereof.
Here are a few examples:
- Charles Barkley;
- Shaquille O’Neal;
- Russell Westbrook;
- Jordan Clarkson;
- Larry “grand mama”Johnson;
And, of course, the Grand Dam of them all, Dennis Rodman.
LeBron was eased into cross-dressing with his portrayal of FloBron. All he had to do was wear a wig in a comedic role. Since the ad was just for shits and giggles most people wouldn’t think twice about him pretending to be a woman.
Now these devils and demons who run the industry always push the envelope.
Like the saying goes:
Another level, another devil.
Regarding the entertainment industry, the devil demands a greater sacrifice for celebrities who want to reach higher levels of success, fame, or fortune.
And that brings me to why I believe that photo is LeBron wearing a pink skirt and toting a purse.
At the same time on this post, Lebron and the Lakers are in the playoffs for the 2023 NBA championship. If LeBron and the Lakers win this championship, it’s because Lebron wore a full-blown pink ensemble with the skirt and purse.
It’s his “next level” of humiliation ritual or sacrifice to win his 5th NBA title.
Don’t ever be surprised by what celebs do to reach greatness. So, if being photographed in a pink skirt and toting a purse is the price for winning an NBA championship, that’s considered a small price to pay in Hollyweird.
And check this…
Let’s say the picture is photoshopped. It’s still a humiliation ritual because it shows LeBron in a buck-broken, effeminate, and emasculated manner.
So he may be King James on the basketball court, but the Powers That USED to Be got him looking like Queen James out here in these social media streets.
How you doin’ (in my Wendy Williams Voice).
Do you think LeBron wore that pink skirt for real for real, or was it photoshopped?
Until next time…
Peace!
