The Shocking Truth About Whitney Houston’s “Real” Mother

I cruised the TV streaming streets a few years ago and stumbled across a 1970s TV series called Get Christie Love!

I checked out a couple of episodes.

And two things stood out from the get-go:

One, the striking beauty of the lead actress Teresa Graves (as Christie Love).

In the 70s, Black women had their looks on point. The natural beauty of sistas, especially brown-skinned and dark-skinned sistas, lit the screen up!

They weren’t walking around with all this drag queen makeup on their faces.😖

Anyway, Teresa Graves epitomized true beauty.

Check out her bio at the bottom of this post.

But here’s the second thing that caught my eye…

Graves is the spitting image of Whitney Houston.

  • The face
  • The body
  • The voice
  • The mannerisms
  • The charisma
  • The “it” factor
  • Plus, she could sing

Now she is older than Whitney. So technically speaking, Whitney looks like Teresa Graves.

The resemblance between the two women is almost spooky, so much so that there is a theory that she is Whitney’s birth mother.

The short version of the story goes like this:

Whitney’s father, John Houston, had an affair with Graves and got her pregnant. Houston and Graves agreed that he would raise their daughter. And this would mean Cissy Houston is Whitney’s stepmother.

I found out about this theory by watching Karine Alourde’s video below. Karine has good content. Check out her channel.

The life and career of the trailblazing actress, Teresa Graves

The theory is almost believable, considering Whitney looks more like Teresa Graves than Cissy Houston.

I must admit whenever I saw Whitney in photos with her parents, I didn’t see a strong resemblance between her and her parents.

So, the theory that Graves is Nippy’s biological child isn’t far-fetched.

Plus, back in the day, it wouldn’t be unusual for a man to convince his wife to help him raise his “outside baby,” especially if the biological mother couldn’t (wouldn’t) keep the child.

Like in the movie Fences starring Denzel Washington (as Troy) and Viola Davis (as Rose) as a married couple. Washington’s character cheated on his wife, got his side piece pregnant, and she died during childbirth. Troy brings his daughter home, and his wife, Rose, agrees to raise the child as her own.

It’s one of those situations where you don’t make the child suffer for the parents’ mistakes.

Now, here’s a shallow dive into Hollywood that could shed some light on the theory that Teresa Graves is Whitney’s real mother.

There are different types of sacrifices people make to achieve and maintain Hollyweird stardom.

One of these sacrifices is giving up your child for someone else to raise. In turn, that child is groomed and put through rituals. In some cases, the child grows up to become famous.

IF John Houston got Teresa Graves pregnant, gave birth, and gave the baby away, it would have happened before Graves became a TV star.

Given that scenario, the theory would be Graves gave up her daughter in exchange for fame.

But I’m not saying that’s what happened.

I’m just illustrating a point.

There’s a whole industry where children are given (sold) to celebrities.

Children get sold to the industry ALL the time, and often by their own parents.

Now, I’m not saying that’s what happened with Teresa Graves. I point it out to reveal how Hollyweird gets down.

But I’ll save the “baby selling” deep dive for another time.

Whitney Houston’s Surprising Physical Trait: Inherited from Her Mother

But I call into question the theory that Teresa Graves is Whitney’s biological mother. And it comes down to something simple.

Whitney and Cissy share a distinct physical characteristic.

When they laugh or smile hard, they have the same wrinkle on the forehead between the eyebrows. That’s a unique, distinct genetic imprint.

Nippy has a little crease just below the eyebrows…
And so does Mrs. Cissy Houston

Okay, I know it’s not much “evidence” compared to the fact Teresa Graves and Whitney Houston look like twins. But I’m rocking with it.

The Hidden Connection Between Whitney Houston and an Iconic Actress

Mother and daughter? Or sisters from the same tribe?

So why the hell does Whitney look like Teresa Grave’s twin?

Well, it’s said we all have a twin, right?

But beyond that, we all belong to tribes, if you will. Tribes share common physical characteristics. Despite centuries of genetic mash-ups and “race mixing,” these tribes still exist.

And I’m using the term tribe loosely.

We all have people who resemble us, such as family members, ancestors, and people we’re not related to.

In other words, there’s a “tribe” of women who look like Whitney and Teresa Graves.

So we all belong to a tribe of look-alikes.

With that said, I’m not 100% convinced that Teresa Graves is Whitney’s birth mother, but that’s some spicy-ass tea.🍵 And I’m here for it.😜

And before I go.

Let me add this.

To me, Whitney always looked more like her cousin Dionne Warwick than Cissy Houston. Again, it’s not uncommon for a daughter to look more like an aunt or, in this case, for two cousins to look alike.

But folks in the conspiracy circles have whispered that Whitney is the love child of John Houston and Dionne Warwick.

Child, I’ll leave that alone. And let Nippey have her peace.🕊️
